THE GRAPE OF FANTINI
This very old grape was discovered by Luigi Fantini in 1961 in the Municipality of Pianoro and was abandoned for a long time among the brambles to be finally recovered by Stefano Galli that take care bush that has stifled the whole plant.
Fortunately we were able to save the plant in collaboration with our agronomist Federico Curtaz, the "Group of Local Action" 5 Valleys, Dr. Fontana and Dr. Filippetti University of Bologna.
In several years this group has studied the morphological and genetic Features of the grape plant and obtained registration with the Italian Registry Vineyards in 2009 as Grapes of Fantini.
Today we produce 2 wines made from grapes with this ancient grapes:
