CITY OF MISA

The Etruscan city of Misa, Marzabotto, discovered in the second half of the 19th century, reveals the religion, culture and social life of the Etruscans. The remains of this ancient Etruscan city are preserved in the “Pompeo Aria” Archaeological Museum.

MOUNT BIBELE

Mount Bibele is just 25 km away, and has uncovered important remains of Celtic and Etruscan materials - they are exhibited at the Luigi Fantini Archaeological Museum; one of the most important collections in Italy and the most complete in the region.

DOZZA

Just 50 km away you can visit the majestic Sforza fortress. Commissioned in late 400 by Caterina Sforza, a noblewoman and Lady of Imola and Dozza. The fortress owes its present appearance to the transformations of the purely military structure into a stately palace. The headquarters of the Emilia Romagna Regional Winemakers Association is located in its winery, ideal for tastings of regional wines including our own top productions.

MONTE SOLE

Just 28 km away, the park covers almost the entire area involved in the massacre of Monte Sole in 1944. This protected area was created to keep the memory of this tragic event alive and, in addition to protecting and enhancing the environmental heritage, it also aims to disseminate a culture of peace, especially among the younger generations.

GROTTA DEL FARNETO
